Music To Keep You Sane During Your Divorce! He Said!

Last week I published a blog “Music to keep you sane during your divorce, She said!” That was my personal playlist from my own divorce. In our never ending quest to bring the man side of the story this week I am sharing with you the male version of this blog. You may be wondering how I can make a list as man, well I can’t which is why I recruited my very sexy recently divorced guy friend to help, luckily he has a brilliantly diverse musically knowledge and a wonderful sense of humor that made this list so much fun to compile, except for the parts where he called me a dork for not knowing half these songs, Lol!

Sometimes in a divorce the man’s emotional needs can be sidelined as he often feels that he just needs to suck it up and deal with things alone. In this way I love that 50% of our users are male and that our site can be used anonymously, that men can find a great resource to go to read our blogs, and connect with other men and women in the same boat as them. I personally believe that the more you connect talk and vent the happier you are and the faster you can heal, so I encourage all men to take a look join our group and Dream Big!

So here is “He Said” playlist.

Cole Swindel-You ain’t worth the whisky
Whats divorce without a good old country song, I am personally not big fan of country but this song is fabulous, nothing worse than letting the other person know how much they are getting to you with whatever behavior they are doing. Blinker them, focus on your self and I will tell you from personal experience often the minute you let go you truly feel indifference set in, the last relationship I was in ended with a switch going off where all of a sudden I saw him for what he really was not what I wanted him to be and he clearly was never worth a whisky… not even a mocha cappuccino.

Gang Starr-Ex girl to the next girl
Another song I never heard before, I need to get out more stop hanging out with such dullards, this song is self explanatory, there is always that time frame where you are moving on and you meet find awesome new girl, often this triggers your ex to go into predator mode, they don’t want you but they aren’t quite sure they want you with some one else especially if you seem happy, so this stage is often fraught with psychological war fair, chances are your ex doesn’t actually want you back they just want their ego stroked, they want to know somehow they are still first choice, but sorry ex you rarely are anymore so as the song says, move on with some dignity focus on your self you will be happier in the long run.

Neon Hitch- Fxxx you better
I had never heard this song, and although rude great song, sadly in some ways divorce means loss but in others ways how exciting is it really to understand that chances are you will go on to find someone who is actually better for you in all ways, some one who loves you better, treats you better and is honestly afraid of losing you. Isn’t that ultimately what we all want someone to do everything better.

Eminem-Not afraid
Great song, crude however this song is great touches on a lot of DreamsRecycled.com beliefs you really do not only have to stand up for your self fight for what is fair what is right and always remember truly you are never alone, you are one of 87K people literally this week getting divorced.

Ariana Grande-Problem
Ok I may have laughed when my 6.2 manly man friend added this to the playlist, I still have her stuck in my head as that annoying girl from that nickelodeon show, however I listened with an open mind and honestly pretty good song, and definitely divorce wise, hits the nail on the head, the relief felt removing someone toxic or not right for you from your life is insurmountably.

Taylor Swift-Shake it off
No one better for writing all kinds of break up songs so this song is great for this and reminds us that no matter what rumors circulate, no matter what lies are told and what words are said, we really need to shake it off.

Dave Mason & Jim Capaldi-We just disagree
As the title of this song says, chances are during your divorce you will disagree about alot of things, this song has a great a message where at the end of the day especially with kids involved you really need to set aside your personal thoughts, let it go, move on and honestly its so much better for us all if we just leave it alone and agree to disagree.

Theory of a Deadman- Bad girlfriend
This song is funny comes under the category sometimes we can’t help who we love, we are often attracted to people who aren’t that great to us, good work out song, and its always good after a break up to really think about how the other person acted with or without us and re-examine if this truly is someone we think we deserve to spend our lives with.

Rehab-Bartender song
Great song divorce is a complimented mess often conflicted emotions, love, hate, anger, you are up down, strong and week, no wonder a lot of people turn to alcohol to drown their sorrows here and there, better though to focus on more positive ways to numb the pain, meditate, run, lift, write, take the negative energy channel it to positive you will be amazed at what mountains move by doing this.

Hank Williams Jr-A country boy can survive anything
Apparently this is an american classic, I had not listened to it before, and it is great song, in more metaphysical terms, than the lyrics it says, we all are equipped to survive anything, you may have dark dismal days where you doubt you will ever feel happy again, you doubt you will make it through this thing called divorce… but you will, focus on yourself, your future, and eventually you will great bigger better stronger even.

I actually love all these songs I’m not a guy but will be downloading them now!

Enjoy, join us and remember you are never alone.
